UTC Youth Programs
About
Our Youth Program began on February 23, 2021 before in person activities had resumed. We held our classes over Zoom which was a unique, but incredible experience. This program taught kids basic theatre skills including expression through voice and body language, acting and choreography taught by our instructors Maddie Boyd and Sarah Covault.
Since our first workshop, our youth program has truly expanded to a degree we never thought imaginable in just one year. We have taught over 900 children in the Ventura County area. We’ve partnered with local elementary schools, the City of Ventura, and other nonprofit organizations. Our teachers are currently teaching musical theatre workshops in Ventura’s Title 1 elementary schools, introducing hundreds of children to the many aspects of musical theatre.
Our Youth Programs include camps, workshops, and classes for the rising stars in your life. With high caliber teachers, an emphasis on creativity, and a whole lot of fun, we welcome young artists! Beginners or bona-fide pros alike can register for our classes. Our summer camp culminates with a performance.
We strive to continue to spread the love of theatre to all of Ventura’s aspiring stars.
